About Me

Greetings, my name is Adam.

I'm passionate about exploring human behavior and interactions, always eager to learn,  be creative and support my work.

Outside of work, I cherish being a father, attending gigs, theatre, reading, travelling, and unwinding by the sea or in the forest here on the North Coast of Northern Ireland.

You might also find me enjoying some light-hearted entertainment such as The Office, Curb your Enthusiasm, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or a psychological thriller.

My aim is to make counselling sessions a positive experience, fostering curiosity and self-understanding without criticism or blame. Together, we can work towards a better understanding of your past and present, taking responsibility for sustainable and meaningful changes in your life. My desire is to be present, attentive, and invested in our therapeutic relationship, challenging you when appropriate, encouraging honesty at all times and confidently sharing my perspective to help you understand yourself better. I am passionate about my practice, and I hope you can experience that authenticity and genuine willingness to work together.

For over eleven years, I have provided one-on-one guidance, therapeutic support, and group facilitation across diverse environments, including counselling rooms, hostels, prisons, probation offices, schools, community settings, and family homes.

My professional background has allowed me to work with individuals of all ages, dealing with various issues such as depression, anxiety, managing emotions, grief, suicidal ideation, relationship difficulties, communication, life dilemmas, burnout, stress, mental illness diagnosis, addictions, compulsive behaviors, and pressures within sports, among many others.

If you require more information, please contact me, and I will be happy to discuss what it would look like to work together.

Thank you,

Adam
